Defiance area homes with dining rooms for sale... what would your dining room have to say?

Defiance area homes sell better when they offer a little more formal space called "The Dining Room" If your dining room could talk, what would it have to say?
When I was growing up our Defiance family home had a dining room, most of the time it was a 'walk through" space to get to the kitchen or the living room. We used the dining room table as our homework area, the cat loved the dining room table, it held both our Easter Baskets and our school books! I can remember my graduation cake and it was proudly displayed on our dining room table along with many Thanksgiving dinners! Oh the conversations a dining room table must hear... Every Thanksgiving I wish my home offered a dining room, maybe I will just enjoy everyone elses!
If you are searching for a home with a dining room Realty Five of Defiace has many of them for sale, we can't include the conversations & the memories a dining room offers but we would love to get you started with a family space for special dinners & special guests around the table!
Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays are now upon us if dreaming of a dining room is what you are doing then please give us a call, text, email or facebook or click to visit us at www.realtyfive.com we would love to get your family around the dining room table soon!  Pictured are only a few we have for sale in and around the Defiance area...

Choosing a home with your special treasure in mind!

Choosing your new home with a special piece of furniture in mind, that unique piece Grandma gave you or perhaps a wedding gift from years ago? We want those treasured items to have placement in our new homes that are just as priceless as the space they are being moved from!

As a Realtor I hear my buyers talk about their "Rare Gems" these gems have followed them from their apartments to houses to a new house again! Sometimes I get to hear the story behind their special pieces of furniture, proud & happy to share the history with me and why the "new house" has to have just the right spot for it.

A couple buyers come to mind when I think of finding the right home with the right location for the treasured pieces. I almost feel like I have seen them for years even though I have never seen them at all... When my friend and buyer Sue finds just the right place to put her grandfather clock... I know she loves the house. Carol looks for the perfect dining room wall for her grandmothers antique hutch, Susan always wants to find the perfect corner for her Christmas tree! Gentlemen buyers are completely different; usually it is a gun case, a desk or maybe a mounted fox they want a special place for. Yes...guys also have treasures to find the right location for in the new house, theirs are just a little different than us ladies!

I guess I like getting wrapped up in the story behind my buyers furniture pieces, their favorite pictures they love to show case, the rose bush they are digging up and taking with them... a piece of someone’s family history shared with me as their
Realtor is a very nice thing indeed!!

Let me know if you have a timeless treasure that needs a new home, I'd love to help you find just the right spot for it...

Is a web site like a phone number?

Is a web site like a phone number? YES a web site is just like a phone number... you just gotta have em!!! If you are doing business in the Defiance area or any area for that matter you better have a user friendly web site, it's a must in today's business world and Defiance area Real Estate is no exception!

I can still remember years ago Tom Brokaw (or a news anchor of the day) broadcasting about the "World Wide Web" they talked on and on about "surfing the web" at the time I had no idea what they were speaking about, I just knew if it was on the evening news it must be of great importance...

Jump to 2012 and ask ourselves how could we possibly survive without the Internet? All that information at our finger tips 24/7; anytime we please we can seek information on any subject & become an expert in a matter of minutes! Amazing isn’t it?

We can chat and view photos of our families clear across the Atlantic, stay in touch with our men and women in the military, look up the sale price of our favorite vehicle, play catch up with our High School friends who are living all over the Nation, view the inside of homes for sale and at the tap of a few computer keys see our Grandchildren’s great big smiles! The World Wide Web has come a long way from that broadcast not so long ago…

My broker works with such determination on our web site: www.realtyfive.com you might be asking me, is it really that important Karol? YES it is, today’s Real Estate buyer starts on the Internet, it is used more than any other form of media to seek out the housing market and what it has to offer. You guessed it… our site is available 24/7.

Here’s a description of what I think is a great web site: Current, user friendly, interactive, easy on the eye, versatile, informative and yes, even stylish! I invite you to go to our web site www.realtyfive.com and let me know what you think; YES it is that important to our company!

Christmas lights & decorations once again stored away? Try "winter" decorating!

I don’t know about you but every year I LOVE getting out & hanging up the Christmas lights inside and outside of my Defiance home, decorations add a bolt color we might not normally use in our decorating schemes… Christmas makes it easy to go a little wild with reds and greens and lights of all colors throughout the house! I truly enjoy it all December long, then comes January and it all gets put away… I decided to “Winter Decorate” again this year, I did that by putting away all my Santa’s but leaving out a few of my snowmen, putting away my Nativity Scene and leaving out the winter greenery of evergreen pines, berries and pine cones, I put away my multi colored Christmas lights and left a few white lights out & added a few candles here and there… now I have myself a little winter cheer as I pass by my kitchen counter top to find a snowman smiling back at me!

Enjoy a winter evening with the soft glow of a flickering candle and a toasting warm throw! Try one of your left over candy canes dipped in a mug of hot chocolate… yummy!

My Grandson loves the candles in the window & wants the lights to be lit up, when he comes over he walks right straight to them and points, adds in a little “Ooooo & Woooow” so we turn them on for him, he calls snowmen and Santa HoHo they are apparently all the same to him! To say the least he is putting some fun in to our winter, visit with a 16 month old and you will see what I mean!

If you are interested in listing your home on the Defiance area Real Estate Market give me a call, text, email or find me on Facebook and Like our page… I will even show you how to get your home properly staged making it “buyer ready” which is ever so important in today's competitive market.

Happy buying and selling, Karol
