Homebuyer's Tax Credit Running Out for Defiance Ohio Area Homebuyers

Homebuyer's Tax Credit Running Out for Defiance Ohio Homebuyers

This is a Defiance Ohio Home that is Available!

April is just day's away and the pressure is beginning to build as the Homebuyer's Tax Credit is about to expire. For those who want to buy a home in the Defiance Ohio area, we've noticed an increased interest in the market the past couple of weeks.

It appears that those who have waited to buy a home are beginning to see the importance of getting a home under contract. I've talked to several Defiance Ohio homebuyers who have begun getting a little anxious as the homes on the market are beginning to be scooped up by others who are also in the same predicament.

The Defiance Ohio real estate and home market is unique that, though it has not been spared from the economic downturn, it has not sufferered the fate that many of the communities surrounding us has. Because of this, I would expect the inventory of existing homes on the market here to begin to dwindle temporarily and the purchases to increase.

If you have thought about buying a home in the Defiance Ohio area, then you need to give us a call or get in touch with us through email. In order to receive the tax credit, one must have an accepted contract on a home to purchase no later than April 30th.

If you miss that deadline, you miss out on potentially $8,000 for a first-time homebuyer (someone who hasn't owned a home in the past three years) or $6,500 for current homeowners who are buying a new home.
